May update: New CSSv34 server, Social networks and new bug tracker!

Opening a Github repository to report bugs

One important decision I had to make was to figure out how to report bugs easily and quickly, as it’s very easy to forget lots of different issues reported by the community. But I don’t want users to create accounts for X or Y place, because they all know how annoying it can be.

So I decided to create a Github repository. There you can report issues, and suggest ideas for our servers : want new maps? Potentially some improvements you’d like to see? Who knows, just ask!

Please also note that the bugreporter is not only limited to the games we are hosting, but also the services around it too. 🙂

CS:Source v34 – New gameserver & improvements

It has been caught that the CSSv34 server was used way more than I myself expected.

The PUG server has thus been moved to port 20027, with some changes with it in terms of stability and content. It has also become more stable with a new randomization algorhythm.

The usual BugFixing™

Despite the additions given to our CSSv34 servers, I have also made some QoL changes to the servers. Here’s the list of updates:

GoldSRC (Common)

  • Fixed a performance issue and a very rare crash often seen at the end of the week.
  • You can now say !bug in the chat to get our GitHub link for reporting bugs & suggestions.

Half-Life 1

  • Removed the “Arcade” settings in the Fun server.
  • Happy Hours is now enabled on the Fun server!
  • Maplist has been updated with several new maps!
  • During Happy Hours, players now spawn with 30 Armor and a free MP5.
    • VIPs still get 15 Armor when having 3 successive deaths without fragging anyone.

Half-Life: Adrenaline Gamer

  • Fixed & rewrote parts of the Training server for stability.
  • Added a new MOTD while connecting.
  • justwar2 has been added to the maplist.
  • Fixed clients not being able to vote in Arena, LMS & TLMS gamemodes.
  • Slippery surfaces ( rats ) when going outside of these zones is fixed.
  • The whole list of voteable CVARs has been improved & rewrote.
  • When typing CVARs that can be voted off to the server, the server now indicated what value they currently are.
  • Added ag_random_spawns to control whether the spawns act like HL1 (0) or HL25 (1).
  • Fixed the Settings menu not appearing by default.
  • joinspectator now has a check for value 2 that does not add you to the arena queue.
  • Added a new minimal FOV restriction (in order to be LLHL-compatible) – this is NOT enabled by default!
  • AG Training: Added a new option so that other players can hurt you.
  • AG Training: added a little more check regarding entity limits.
  • AG Training: Disable the ability to start matches.
  • AG Training: set some very specific voting restrictions.

Half-Life: Opposing Force

  • During Happy Hours, players now spawn with 30 Armor and a MP5.
    • VIPs still get 15 Armor when having 3 successive deaths without fragging anyone.

Counter-Strike 1.6

  • Grenades messages on the radio are now more precises (colored message with what grenade was thrown, similarly to CS2).
  • Added Killing assists to the killfeed.
  • More slight BOT rebalancing for the CSDM server.

Counter-Strike: Source (v34)

  • Fixed lots of issues with the PUG server.
  • Added a new FFA server (port 20026), and PUG server has been moved to port 20027.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (2023)

  • Fixed the maplist resulting in being stuck on the same map again and again.
  • Updated the FFA maplist.
  • Updated the Coopstrike maplist.
