We are going to play this week Counter-Strike Promod, a mod that was extremely promising for Counter-Strike enjoyers with a game that was fast, fun, and close to early releases of Counter-Strike.

Unfortunately CSP was shadowed by CSGO, and was even more damaged by how CS:Source resources got scrambled during one specific update, making it problematic to run. As a fate of such results, playing CS:Promod in modern systems might be a little… Unusual, as the mod searches for resources that can’t be found. Thankfully, we have been able to figure out everything to make it work again, and we have done everything to make it as easy as possible for you to play with us this Sunday.

How to install CS:Promod?

Counter-Strike: Source is not required for this!

First of all, install Source Base 2007. It is located in the Tools section of your library. You can also search in the search box.

Then, download this archive containing CS:Promod 1.10 and the required assets :

Now, restart STEAM. You should be able to see CS Promod 1.10 on your list of games.

If you start a map, you should be able to see everything normally, with no texture or model errors.
